Introduction to Affiliate Marketing

I bet you have heard about this term before. Affiliate Marketing is not meant for short term income generation. There are college students making lucrative income by becoming an affiliate marketer. It requires some time and effort, but the money is good in the long run.

There are many ways to do Affiliate Marketing. One of the simplest ways is to always blog and monetize your website provided you have the endurance and passion. If you are limited to a strict budget, it does not mean you can’t start making income online. It is always possible to start an online business with very little money provided you have the right mentor, work attitude, and good plan.

Let me break it down how you can become an affiliate marketer step-by-step:-

Assuming you have not started anything yet and you are totally new to the world of blogging, let me run through with you the process of building a website that generates revenue. Before you earn money, you are going to first be focusing on creating your niche website and the working to get traffic to your website. Without a website, without content, and without traffic, the MONEY doesn’t happen.

Explore affiliate programs and ask yourself, what would be the easiest affiliate money making programs?

If you’re new to affiliate marketing:

Undoubtedly the easiest intro to affiliate marketing is Social Superstore. This site allows you to sign up for free. They have a search bar to find products to sell and they all go in your own store. You can customise your stores with your own product images, reviews/captions and header images all for free. You earn a varying commission by retailer so you can earn good money. In terms of ease the platform is easy to use but can take a little while to make a store that will sell a lot!

Social Media; If you have thousands of followers:

If on Social media you happen to have thousands of followers or you have a blog that gets a tonne of views regularly, then you may qualify for Reward Style – this allows you to share affiliate links on your posts on your existing site to earn money. The commission rates are good which helps satisfy the earn money side. It’s as easy as finding and copying links so very easy.

If you want to create a blog:

Create a domain name, it gives you an authoritative feel. I recommend Bluehost for affordable and reliable hosting. People generally prefer a paid website compared to a free one. But free ones works too; Setting up a WordPress site is ridiculously easy these days. With guides and great looking templates you couldn’t have an easier start. However, to start affiliate marketing with this you would need to sign up to an affiliate network (CJ, Rakuten or Zanox ) once this is approved you have to apply to retailers that you wish to promote and then find the products you wish to share in their data feeds. It’s the easiest way to build an affiliate blog but not so easy in general.
